EcoUrban Homes Plans New Energy Efficient Construction at 4136-38 Flad in the Shaw Neighborhood

It’s an exciting time to live in the Shaw Neighborhood.

Yesterday, EcoUrban Homes submitted a proposal to construct a 2,016 square foot home with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths using energy-efficient green building technology. The base price will be $300,000.  This home will feature geothermal heating & cooling, Energy Star appliances, sustainable flooring, low-VOC paints, locally-built Greenhaus cabinets, Energy Star windows and durable fiber-cement siding. Ecourban plans native and low-water plantings, new public and private walks, 6’ privacy fencing and a large rear deck. Also, the home will include a two-car parking pad with options to build a 2-car garage.

EcoUrban has built 4 new construction green homes in the Benton Park West, Tower Grove East and St. Louis Place neighborhoods.  They are a well respected developer and they anticipate the construction to take two months once a buyer is located.  The Shaw Neighborhood Housing Corp is excited to see the first energy efficient project in Shaw and the first new construction building in several years.  For more information, EcoUrban Homes can be reached at 314-231-0400 ext. 4.
