The Shaw Neighborhood Housing
Corporation and the Shaw Neighborhood
Improvement Association have teamed up
to offer Shaw residents “discounted” home
security alarm installation and monitoring
services. Philibert Security has been in
business since 1971 and designed a program
which will fit most home owner’s budgets.

They offer professional and timely service.

The alarm quote includes 3 doors and
switches, three motion detectors including
one in the basement, one control panel, one
keypad and one out door siren. The cost
is $1,403.90 plus tax plus $25 for an alarm
permit fee and $40 for a City of St. Louis
electrical permit.

The monitoring fee is $18.95 per month
for a three year contract. Please contact

    You can get a totally wireless system with a cellular uplink and battery backup (no phone line required so the alarm can’t be disabled) for $300 with the same set of components. Installs in minutes using 3M adhesive strips and/or screws. Batteries have lasted us several years now and notify you when they are low. Plans start at $15/mo with no commitment. Also can be taken with you when you move. SimpliSafe is one type of wireless system (http://simplisafe.com/) but there may be others.
