The Shaw Neighborhood has been designated a Historic District, making rehab projects within the District eligible for both State (25% of applicable construction costs) and Federal Historic Tax Credits (Additional 20% of applicable construction costs for rental properties held for five years) .

In addition, five and 10 year tax abatement may be available.
